Forms leak
The standard funnel is: comment, click the link, load the landing page, read the form, type your email, submit. Every one of those steps loses people, and on a phone with a bad connection it loses a lot of them.
Ask in the conversation instead
They are already in a chat with you. Ask there. Messenger shows a chip that sends the email address on their profile — one tap, no typing, no page load, no keyboard. Completion rates are not in the same league as a form.
What lands in your contacts
Not just an address. Each lead is stored with:
- The automation that captured it, so you can tell which rule earns its place
- The post it came from, when the trigger was a comment
- The raw value they gave as well as the normalised one, so support can see what actually happened
The consent question, handled honestly
Someone tapping a chip to send you their email is giving it to you — but that is not the same as signing up for a daily newsletter. Say what you will send them in the message that asks. “Drop your email and I’ll send the code” earns you one email’s worth of permission, and people who feel tricked unsubscribe from everything.
Phone numbers too
Same flow, same chip. Numbers are parsed and normalised to E.164 before they are stored, so you do not end up with four formats of the same number and a deduplication problem six months from now.
Getting it out again
Export to CSV whenever you like, or, on the Business plan, connect Google Sheets and every lead appends itself to a spreadsheet the moment it is captured — attribution included, so the export is still useful a month later.
