Ask for the follow before you hand over the link
Offer the link, ask for a follow, unlock on tap. Recorded as self-confirmed everywhere, because Facebook exposes no follow signal and we would rather be honest.
- Unlock by tap, with a timeout you choose
- Labelled self-confirmed in every number — no over-reporting
- Skips people who already engage with your Page
What it does
Someone asks for the link. Before it arrives, they get a message: follow the Page so you catch the next one, then tap below. When they tap, the rest of the automation runs and they get what they came for.
What it does not do
It does not verify the follow. Facebook gives apps no per-person follow signal — there is no API call that answers “does this person follow this Page”. Any tool that tells you otherwise is guessing, or counting taps and calling them follows.
LeadWave counts taps and calls them taps. Every gate unlock is recorded and labelled self-confirmed everywhere it appears — in the automation’s numbers, on the contact, in exports. You will never open your dashboard and find a follower count that turns out to be fiction.
Why it still works
Most people who tap the button do follow, because they were about to anyway and you gave them a reason to do it now. The gate converts because of the ask, not because of the enforcement. Treating it honestly costs you nothing except a number you should not have trusted.
Set the timeout kindly
You choose how long to wait for the tap, up to 20 hours — capped so it always lands inside Messenger’s 24-hour window. Then choose what happens if they never tap:
- Send it anyway. Kinder, and it converts better. Someone who wanted your link and got nothing remembers that.
- Send a different message. A softer nudge, then the link.
- Give up quietly. Available, rarely the right call.
Skip your regulars
Turn on “skip for people who already engage with the Page” and contacts who have been talking to you for months are not asked to follow you again. Nothing makes a loyal customer feel more like a stranger.
